Citrus

A snack show good for scratching a Yuri itch. Despite a ridiculous hentai-flavored premise, there is little skin-service but excellent spice. Refreshingly frank and honest about sexuality for an anime.

Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel III. Spring Song

Studio ufotable flexes on the entire anime industry again with some of the most gorgeous art and animation, coupled with Yuki Kajiura's perfect soundtrack. Unfortunately, the "rules of magic" gymnastics and overly complicated philosophy was distracting and made it more difficult to immerse as the previous movies.

Guilty Crown

Despite having all the ingredients to be the next anime classic, it ended up feeling like Magical Index meets the bad of Evangelion with unrealistic characters that betray their established depth and personalities.

Usagi Drop

A mature, heavy, and heartwarmingly human piece focusing on fatherhood and family. Complete with a beautiful and tender soundtrack that gets the feels rolling.

MIRAI

Mirai is a magical family-focused movie that feels like a modern, Japanese "Coco" but with much less stress and more appreciation for simple things.

Yuki Yuna is a Hero

While unapologetically a Madoka-inspired Magical Girl show, it does take its own approach and has a more gradual pace. A slightly warm Cherry Pepsi to Madoka's crisp, icy Vanilla Coke.
