Cute and fun, but nothing too groundbreaking. Certainly has some great moments.
How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?
A surprisingly funny, smart, and effective "edutainment" piece to get you excited about hitting the gym.
Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt
Gunning for that early 2000's Cartoon Network feel, PSG is a stark and unusually crass change of pace from conventional anime. I highly recommend the English dub.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0
A fantastic prequel with a slightly more serious tone than the original series, and fantastic acting and animation.
Jujutsu Kaisen
A fantastic blend of everything you've ever loved from Shonen greats, in action, themes, and comedy, with none of the drag.
Zombie Land Saga: Revenge
A fantastic second season that improves on all fronts, with rich character development and growth. And all the songs are bangers.
Ganbare, Douki-chan!
If you particularly enjoy tights, office-attire, or just really want a break from all the “High school” centered shows, this is a fun mindless mild ecchi one to pick up. Comes in bite-size episodes.
Ghost in the Shell 2.0
An important, seminal cyberpunk experience that has aged a little since 1995, but still an interesting piece that cements the genre.
Somali and the Forest Spirit
A beautiful, heart wrenching and heartwarming adventure in a gorgeous fantasy world. With rich world building, heavy topic exploration, and my kryptonite: the "Learn to be Human" trope. Get tissues.
Spice and Wolf
It's "Stonks: The Anime!" No, but really. A mature, slow burn romance in a fantasy setting with several entertaining economic thrillers along the way. A change of pace from modern anime, but it does lack drive.
