A family-friendly Disney/Ghibli vibe that's fun enough, though definitely has "for kids" goofiness in it, but goes a bit deeper emotionally than typical non-Pixar family movies.
Fireworks
An interesting, mysterious story that while gorgeously animated, feels more like a stand-out episode of a Sci-Fi TV series than a standalone movie.
Bonjour Sweet Love Patisserie
About as tropey and shallow as you'd expect from a short promotional anime for a mobile platform dating sim that never even got finished or released. Main girl is cute though?
Fate/Stay Night
Definitely not a good show to have be your introduction to the Fate universe, even though it does do decent world-building. The music isn’t bad though, and if you like Fate and have seen the other adaptations, it won’t be a total waste of time.
Tamako Love Story
With gorgeous enhanced visuals and artistic detail, Tamako Love Story dives a bit deeper into the human relationships presented in the series with a slightly more serious tone.
5 Centimeters Per Second
While interesting to see one of Makoto Shinkai's earlier works, this left me not really feeling anything. The first section was gorgeous and emotional, but the rest left me wanting.
Kaguya-sama: Love is War
Kaguya-sama is a smart and hilarious battle-of-wits comedy with surprisingly heartwarming moments that you won't want to miss.
The Helpful Fox Senko-san
Beneath the facade of a comfy "Magical girlfriend" genre, this is unquestioningly a lolicon primer/grooming show that reinforces toxic relationship ideals.
Ristorante Paradiso
Despite taking place in a restaurant, this is not a food or cooking anime. Rather, it's a Josei harem romance that borders on the line of being a Soap Opera.
MY Love STORY!! (Ore Monogatari!!)
A simple, pure, and joy filled romcom that will leave a stupid grin plastered on your face.
