Perhaps the original and best Reverse Isekai, this one will leave a stupid grin plastered on your face for its entirety. There's something immensely validating in watching epic fantasy heroes struggle to get by in the capitalist struggle for survival.
Kakegurui
If you’re looking for a rush, Kakegurui won’t disappoint. If you’re wanting to stay comfortable, give it a pass. I'd liken this to very spicy or strong ethnic food: You either love it and get hooked, or you hate it.
Wakakozake
A cute collection of shorts that explore the joys of various Japanese bar foods and their recommended drink pairings.
Yuri!!! On Ice
A solid BL sports anime with very good character growth and some gorgeous performances.
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Phenomenal worldbuilding, character stories and growth, complete with powerful and complex moral decisions. Plus genuine great comedy make this a must-see.
Ouran High School Host Club
This is a fun and funny "snack" show. There isn't too much substance to it, but it's a fun enjoyable reverse harem while you're there.
Kill la Kill
Combine the absurdity of Scott Pilgrim with Anime, crank up the flashy skin-servicey outfits, add a whole lot of great action.
Violet Evergarden
Combine the coming-of-age emotion and musical quality of a Ghibli movie with increased gorgeous visuals and a WWI drama. Add a scoop of cathartic emotion, serve with blankets, tissues, and heartwarming hope.
One-Punch Man
One-Punch Man is a hilarious satire piece on the entire Super Hero genre, from comic books to anime. The completely overpowered and apathetic protagonist leaves no shortage of bizarre situations.
Soul Eater
Take Hogwarts, throw it into HalloweenTown, and add sentient weapons and general anime Shonen vibes. The result is a surprisingly enjoyable ride that tackles some heavy issues.
