Movie Sequel to Goblin Slayer

Genre(s): Dark Fantasy, Action, Adventure
Age-Appropriateness: 17+ (Graphic violence, partial nudity, disturbing scenes)
Platforms: Crunchyroll
Episodes: One 85-minute movie
TheAwersome Rating: 7.7 / 10 (A classic Adventure)
Premise: The Goblin Slayer gets a request to investigate a Noble Fencer who has gone missing. Goblin Slayer and his party head up to the snowy mountains in the north. A small village gets attacked, they encounter a mysterious chapel, and something about how these goblins are acting bothers the Goblin Slayer.
TheAwersome’s Thoughts: Well, the High Elf Ranger got her wish and we get to see everyone on a “Real Adventure.” There isn’t really too much in this movie that we didn’t get from the main series, other than the introduction of a new character and better animation. The first 25 minutes or so are a recap, so this really is like a three-episode arc. The story has a strong D&D adventure feel and vibe to it, which is a fun time to be sure, but didn’t emotionally grip me to nearly the extent that the first season’s finale did. I’d say this one is worth picking up if you liked the series, but it doesn’t bring anything new or spectacular to the table that’s different from the main series.
TLDR: A Classic D&D-flavored Adventure with the Goblin Slayer crew.
